Caution is advised if acetic acid 0.25% irrigating solution is used in nursing women.

There is insufficient experience in patients older than 65 years of age to determine whether geriatric patients respond differently than younger adults. Systemic absorption is unlikely (unless open lesions of the bladder mucosa are present); however, increased sensitivity cannot be ruled out.
